Can a display model sentry safe be fixed so it works like it should?

i found a present model sentry safe. which isn't in working order because just a display model. So i was wondering if anyone knew where i could find some directions on how to fix it or knew any ways of fixing it...
I'm worrying to sell it on craigslist but no one wants
