We have a two-year old mahogany desk imported from Asia. A feel mortified crack has developed on the desktop that runs along the wood soup. What should I use to condition the wood and keep it from drying out?

It's useless. Wood will reach the equilibrium moisture content in feedback to the ambient humidity. You can slow it, but never stop it. The problem is
1) your shit was built with wood that was not sufficiently dried
2) the manufacturer did dab or nothing to
